GENERAL DESCRIPTION

It is a controlled flocculation wetting and dispersing agent, specially formulated for medium to high polarity solvent-borne coatings. It effectively inhibits flooding and floating defects occurring when titanium dioxide is formulated together with various colored pigments.

STORAGE AND TRANSPORT

During transportation and storage, separation and cloudiness may occur. Before use, heat the product to 30–60°C and mix thoroughly.

Recommended storage period should not exceed 12 months.

SPECIAL NOTES

Limited compatibility in coatings where gasoline is used as a solvent or diluent. A solvent-free version is available: Anjeka-6105.

Anjeka-6104 delivers favorable controlled flocculation of pigments, and forms a three-dimensional network structure by bridging pigment particles.
This controlled flocculation effect can effectively prevent flooding, floating, pigment settling and sagging issues. It is especially suitable for medium to high polarity coating systems, solving the related defects caused by the combination of titanium dioxide and colored pigments.

Note

This product has limited compatibility with gasoline-based solvents. In most cases, its application in anti-corrosive primers can help improve the corrosion resistance of the coatings.

RECOMMENDED LEVELS

Dosage (as supplied), based on pigment:

Inorganic pigments: 2%–5%

Organic pigments: 10%–30%

Titanium dioxide: 1.0%–2.5%

Note: These are typical dosage levels; optimal dosage should be determined through a series of tests.

INCORPORATION AND PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS

For best performance, the additive should be added to the mill base before pigment addition.
